We rank on four things: what you actually experience, the quality of the guiding, value for money, and what travellers say afterwards. Ratings and review counts come straight from GetYourGuide. Iquique is a small market on the platform, so several products have only a handful of reviews or none yet — where that is the case, we say so rather than dress it up.
The first five entries are the Iquique products. The remaining seven are in Arica and San Pedro de Atacama, the two places most visitors travel on to; they are not day trips from Iquique. We earn a commission if you book through these links, at no cost to you.

Iquique: Paragliding Experience with GoPro Video
Iquique is one of the best places on earth to paraglide, and a tandem flight needs no experience. The launch at Alto Hospicio, the dune sliding under your feet and the landing by the sea are the city in twenty minutes. Only one review on the platform so far, but a perfect one — and a GoPro video is included.

What is missing — and how to do it anyway
The biggest sights in the Iquique hinterland are not on GetYourGuide at present. That does not make them hard to visit:
- Humberstone and Santa Laura: 45 minutes by car or by any bus to Pozo Almonte.
- Pica and La Tirana: daily buses from Iquique, or a full-day agency tour that adds Humberstone.
- The Atacama Giant and Pintados: best with a rental car.
- Salar del Huasco and Isluga: 4x4 trips from local agencies, or your own high-clearance vehicle.
